All those family photos languishing on a computer disk or stuffed in boxes deserve to be on display in your home. Framing the photos is a step up from sticking them onto the refrigerator with magnets, but finding a place for all your beloved pictures would be impossible in most homes. One solution is to rotate the photos on a regular basis. Change out the photographs several times a year. This clothes pin picture frame makes switching out photos a snap.

Things You'll Need

  • 8x10 picture frame
  • Decorative fabric or paper
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue and glue gun
  • Popsicle stick
  • Small decorative spring-type clothespin.

Instructions

      Disassemble the frame.

      Lay the glass down on the wrong side of your decorative fabric or paper. Cut out the paper or fabric so that it's about one inch larger on all sides than the glass.

      Run a line of hot glue down one long side of the glass. Fold the fabric over the glue and smooth with the Popsicle stick. Wipe off any excess glue. Repeat with the other three sides under the fabric is neatly wrapped around the glass.

      Put the glass back in the frame. Insert any backing cardboard and clips.

      Glue the clothespin to the top center of the fabric or paper-covered glass with a dot of hot glue.

      Clip a photograph in the clothespin. The pin makes it easy to switch out photos any time you want

Tips & Warnings

  • You can find decorative clothes pins at craft stores. Or paint a small wooden clothespin.

  • Heavy paper such as old wallpaper or scrapbooking papers works best for this project.

  • Be careful not to burn your fingers on the hot glue.
