How Do I Get Java to Load in Mozilla Firefox?

The Java compiler runs web and desktop applications on any operating system. The compiler is used on web applications that need to access the computer or for applications that have a more advanced interface for the user. Java applications can be blocked and disallowed to run in the settings for the Mozilla Firefox web browser. If this happens, the Java applets you view will not function properly. This is remedied by enabling Java in your Firefox settings.

Instructions

1. Click the Windows "Start" button, and select "All Programs." Select "Mozilla" from the list of directories, and then click "Firefox." This opens your Firefox browser.

2. Click the "Tools" menu item, and then click "Add-ons" to open a configuration window. The current add-on properties are shown in the window that opens.

3. Click the "Plugins" section, and then select the "Java Plugin" item. In the section next to the Java plugin, click "Enable" to enable Java on your browser.

4. Click the "OK" button. This saves the new settings for your Firefox browser.
