How to Enter Cheat Codes in Grand Theft Auto 4

Grand Theft Auto IV, commonly referred to as GTA4, allows you to enter codes to obtain various things like cars, guns, full ammo and full life. On previous Grand Theft Auto games, the cheat codes were entered when the game was paused, using a combination of buttons on the gamepad. In GTA4, the main character, Niko, has a cell phone on which you can enter the codes

Instructions

1. Come to a safe stopping point but do not pause the game.

2. Press the "Up" button on your directional pad to access the cell phone. Press the "Up" button while in cell phone mode to bring up the keypad.

3. Enter your cheat code on the cell phone keypad, then choose "Call." The cheat will be activated.

Tips & Warnings

• For a list of cheat codes to dial for PlayStation 3 and XBox 360, see the Resource section. The codes are different between consoles.
