Use the manual feed tray for special jobs.

One of the advantages of laserjet printers like the Hewlett-Packard (HP) 2300 is the availability of a manual-feed paper tray. Users might choose to feed paper into the printer manually rather than using the paper trays if they're printing odd-sized documents on legal-size paper or if they're printing on envelopes, labels or card stock.

Instructions

    • 1

Pull down the manual feed tray. Load a piece of paper into the tray. Adjust the paper guides on the tray when using odd-sized documents like legal-size paper or envelopes.

    • 2

Log onto your computer and open the document you wish to print. Click on the "File" menu and choose "Print" from the list.

    • 3

Click the "Properties" button and then click the "Paper/Quality" tab. Click the drop-down box next to the "Source Is" option and choose "Manual Feed" from the list. The LaserJet 2300 will now pick up the paper from the manual feed tray.
