How to Hide the Search Bar
The Search bar is located very close to the address bar in your browser. It lets you search the web without having to go to individual search engines like Google, Yahoo or MSN. However, if you don't want it there, hiding it is very simple.

Launch your web browser. Hit the Start button and select "All Programs." Scroll up to find the menu command for your web browser. Click on it.

Click on the "View" tab on the top bar of your browser.

Point your cursor to "Toolbars."

Browser through the list of all the toolbars that are installed on your browser.

Look for the Search bar that you wish to hide. Click to remove the checkmark beside it. Shut down your browser.

Relaunch your browser. You should not see the search bar anymore.
