Making a goth doll is a fun project

Creating dolls for aesthetic value offers you the opportunity to express your creativity when constructing a one-of-a-kind doll. With just a few simple items and knowledge of the goth look, you can create a truly unique doll.

Instructions

    • 1

Using a paintbrush with a fine, pointed tip, outline the doll's eyes and lips with black acrylic paint.

    • 2

Paint the doll's face pale white without painting over the black outlined areas.

    • 3

Take the fine pointed paintbrush and thicken the lines around the doll's eyes. Depending on the type of goth look you want to achieve, you can either make very thick black rings or thin cat's eye styled lines with the black paint.

    • 4

Fill in the doll's lips with crimson red acrylic paint. Make sure the paint doesn't bleed into the black outline of the doll's lips. Thicken the black outline, if necessary, to shape the look of the lips.

    • 5

Allow the paint on the doll's face to dry for approximately five hours to keep from smearing it.

    • 6

Wrap the black lace material around the doll, from underneath the doll's arms. Roll it until the end of the material rests down the doll's back. Rolling the doll in lace creates the effect of a tight, black and lacy tube dress.

    • 7

Cut a strip of black duct tape matching the length of the black lace tube dress. Adhere the strip vertically down the doll's back to hold the dress in place.

    • 8

Cut another strip of tape measuring approximately the same width as the doll's bust. Tape around the top part of the tube dress, all the way around the doll. This look mimics a classic punk-goth style that incorporates black tape, lace and other dark and interesting materials.

Tips & Warnings

  • Dye your doll's hair black or introduce streaks of neon pink, blood red or navy blue.
