Things You'll Need
- Screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead)
- Channel lock pliers
- Valve seals (2)

Turn off the water supply to your bathtub. If you cannot locate the valve to your bathtub, turn off the main water valve to your house.

If there is a plastic cover in the middle of the handle, pry it off using a flathead screwdriver. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the handle by loosening the two screws that hold it in place.

Pull out the chrome tube cover with your fingers. Pry off the "O" ring with a small screwdriver.

Remove the brass collar with a pair of pliers; carefully pry off the plastic body from the collar with a screwdriver.

Pull out the valve body with your fingers and remove the spring-loaded valve seals with a screwdriver.

Insert the two new valve seals to replace the old ones.

Replace all the parts of the tub faucet in the reverse order that you took them off.

Turn your water supply back on.
