Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a new toner cartridge for your printer. To verify you are buying the correct cartridge, take along the old one to the store. (To take out the old one, open the top front door of the printer and slide the cartridge out.)

    • 2

Take the new toner cartridge out of its packing. Gently shake the cartridge for a minute so the toner spreads out evenly inside.

    • 3

Remove the protective cover or tape from the cartridge.

    • 4

Open the front door of the printer.

    • 5

Gently slide the new toner cartridge in the cartridge compartment.

    • 6

Shut the printer door and power it on.

    • 7

Print a test page to see if the new toner works fine. If not, take the cartridge out again and carefully examine to remove any residual tape.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some toner cartridges can be refilled, however, it's a very messy process. Replacing the cartridge is preferable.

  • Recycle the old cartridge instead of throwing it away. You can donate it to an office supplies store that may give you store coupons for each cartridge you donate.
