How to Lace a Lacrosse Net
Lacrosse players aren’t the only ones that take their fare share of abuse during games. Due to the nature of the sport, the lacrosse net can take a hefty beating from frequent encounters with the hard and fast-moving rubber lacrosse ball. Eventually, the mesh net will need to be replaced with a brand-new one. Luckily, with a little patience, replacing the net can be done without much hassle.
Things You'll Need
- Knife
- Replacement lacrosse net
- 50 feet of cording
- Plastic zip fasteners

1
With your knife, cut away the old net and discard it. Tip the triangular metal goal over and lay it face-down on the ground. Lay the new net over the frame of the goal, matching each point on the net with each point on the frame.

2
Thread the end of the cord through the first square on the mesh, then wrap the cord around the frame, starting at the very back of the goal. Continue wrapping the cord, passing it through each subsequent square and over, then under the frame, working your way from the back point to the front bottom corner of the goal.

Continue wrapping the cord through the mesh upwards along the vertical bar to the apex of the goal, then down the opposite side. Go down the other bar on the frame until all cording has been used. You should now have the net coiled tightly to the goal. Use plastic zip ties to secure random sections on the front bars to add extra stiffness to the netting.
