How to Backup the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Without a Desktop Manager

The BlackBerry Pearl is a device that many of its owners use not only as a phone, but also to store important messages and data. Most often, the BlackBerry Pearl is backed up using a desktop or laptop computer and the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software. 1. Save your important files to the microSD storage card that came with your BlackBerry Pearl 8100, rather than the memory on the device itself. 2. Email important files to yourself at an email address that you can access from any computer with Internet access. Just attach a file you wish to back up to the email message, and then send it. You can get a free email account that can be checked online through a number of email service providers such as MSN, Gmail and Yahoo.

Get in touch with the IT person in charge of BlackBerry devices and they can set you up for automatic backups quickly and easily.
