How to Fix a Dripping Delta Faucet
The cartridge in your Delta faucet serves multiple purposes: it works to mix the water temperature and as a shut-off valve. If you are noticing a slow drip from either the aerator of your faucet or the handle itself, your cartridge needs replacing. You'll be able to find a replacement stem at any local hardware store, but make sure you purchase a Delta cartridge because another brand's will not fit. Does this Spark an idea?

Removal

Close the shut-off valve beneath the sink.

Loosen the nut on the bottom side of the faucet handle with an Allen wrench.

Remove the handle once the nut is loosened enough.

Remove the steel clip holding the cartridge in place. You may need to use a pair of pliers to get the best grip.

Turn the cartridge counter-clockwise, while pulling toward yourself. Use a pair of pliers to get the best grip on the end of the cartridge.
Installation

Insert the new replacement cartridge into the body of the faucet.

Set the steel-locking clip back in place.

Set the handle back on the faucet and screw in the nut on the bottom, securing the handle in place.

Reopen the shut-off valve beneath the sink.
