How to Remove Wax Stains From Clothing
Getting wax on clothing is very annoying, as the wax hardens and is difficult to remove. Even after thoroughly removing the wax, clothing can still be left with ugly, stiff stains from the wax. Things You'll Need
- Thick paper towels
- Iron
- Rubbing alcohol
- Scrub brush
- Baking soda
- Small cup or bowl

Cover the wax stain with a thick paper towel and heat an electric iron to a low heat setting. Rub the warm iron over the paper towel to transfer any existing wax from the stain onto the paper towel.

Dab rubbing alcohol onto the wax stain with a cotton ball and allow the rubbing alcohol to absorb into the stain for 30 minutes. Brush the stain with a scrub brush and then rinse the garment with warm water.

Mix baking soda and water together in a small cup or bowl to form a paste. Lightly rub the paste onto the wax stain, and then wash the garment as you normally would in your washing machine. Hang the garment out to dry instead of using your dryer.

Tips & Warnings
Hydrogen peroxide can be used in exchange for rubbing alcohol to remove wax stains. However, test an inconspicuous area of your clothing first as peroxide can have a bleaching effect.
Make sure the iron is warm, not hot.
Do not use flammable solvents such as gasoline or lighter fluids to remove wax stains.
