Bowling is a fun sport that consists of rolling a ball down what is called a lane and knocking down as many of the ten pins, at the opposite end, as you can. Though most people bowl for fun, others take it more seriously. Starting your own bowling league can be a fun way to get bowlers together to enjoy the sport they love, if it is done correctly.

  1. How to Set Up a Bowling League

    • 1

Starting a bowling league consists of doing many things. Get an idea of how many weeks this league will go on, how many meetings you will have a week, how much it is going to cost entirely and how much each member of the league will need to pay. This will help you get an idea of what to tell the people that may want to join your bowling league. Make a sign up sheet, which will need to consist of a space for the name, phone number, and if they have paid to start the league. This will help you to organize the members of your league.

    • 2

Ask people to join your bowling league. Have them fill out a sign up sheet, of which you should have already made, and answer any questions they may have.

    • 3

Knowing how many members you will have should now allow you to call bowling alleys and ask if they can comfortably fit the number of members of your league. Ask the price and get an idea of which days both work for you and the bowling alley.

    • 4

Prepare a schedule, including dates and times. Set up how many teams you will have and who will be on each team. Hand these schedules and team layouts to each member of your bowling league and collect all money to pay bowling alley.

    • 5

Get your league together for your first meeting and clear up any questions you or the league may have. Once you have done this, you are ready to start bowling.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not want to start it by yourself, you can always ask people you know and trust to help you with the details.
