How Can I Download Videos Off of YouTube & Put Them on DVD?
YouTube videos are stored on the site in the Flash Video "FLV" format. Many media players do not readily support playback of FLV files. To store these videos on DVD and play them back on most any computer or DVD player, you will need to not only download the files but also convert them to a more commonly used format before saving them to disc.
Instructions

1
Download an FLV ripper. Several good freeware and commercial applications are available to you. If you use the Firefox web browser, you can install Download Helper as an extension, at no charge. It will then run in Firefox, allowing you to rip unprotected FLV files from any website. Other rippers include Orbit Downloader, YouTube FLV Downloader and FLV Ripper.

2
Install the FLV ripper application by opening the setup file and following the instructions on the installation wizard. In most cases, after the application is installed, it will run in your browser. In some cases, you must run it separately.

-
3
Launch the FLV ripper if your browser does not do it for you, and download the videos you desire from YouTube.
-
4
Convert the video files from FLV format into a commonly supported video-capable format, including AVI, MPEG, or MP4. Some FLV rippers, such as Download Helper, provide this functionality as part of the application. Others do not, in which case you will have to download a separate FLV converter. FLV converters, such as FLV rippers, are widely available as freeware and commercial products. Free FLV Converter is a good program.

5
Insert a DVD into your DVD writer, and burn the converted video file onto disc as you would burn any other video file. Make sure you burn the converted file and not the original FLV file.
