Suncream or sunscreen hopefully will protect you from the sun's blazing rays. But it also can cause a clothing stain if you're not careful putting it on.   • Detergent
  • Dish soap (optional)
  • Glycerin (optional)
  • Stain remover (optional)

      Clean up any excess suncream immediately.

      Pretreat the stain. You can use a liquid laundry detergent or dish soap or try treating the clothes with a mixture of dish soap and glycerin, as recommended by "Real Simple" magazine. A product stain remover will work as well. Apply the substance and rub it into the stain.

      Wait about 10 minutes for the treatment to set in.

      Put the stained clothes into the washer, using the hottest water recommended for the white garments. Add detergent and some bleach.

      Check the clothes to see if the stain has gone away. If not, treat the stain again.
