Obtain a copy of your Texas birth certificate.

Texas provides a fast online process for ordering certified copies of birth certificates through TexasOnline, the state's official website. If you live in Texas, you can order a copy of your own birth certificate or that of someone in your immediate family. If you live outside of Texas, you can order your own or your child's record--but only if you are listed as your child's parent on the record. You must order a birth certificate to be sent to an address in the United States, U.S. territories or U.S. military locations. To order on line, you need a credit card. However, there are alternative methods to get your Texas birth certificate.
