Instructions

    • 1

Measure the first cupboard with the tape measure. Make a note of this measurement on a piece of paper.

    • 2

Make a mark on the piece of crown molding, indicating where it will need to be cut with a pencil.

    • 3

Cut the piece of crown molding to the required size with the circular saw.

    • 4

Use the miter saw to put a 45-degree angle on the end of the piece of molding, if there is a 90-degree angle on one side of the cupboard. Set the angle of the miter saw to 45- degrees and then cut the end of the molding.

    • 5

Place the piece of molding on the cupboard so that there is half an inch of the molding that overlaps the top edge.

    • 6

Secure the piece of molding to the cupboard with finish nails using the nail gun.

    • 7

Repeat this process for the remaining cabinets in the kitchen.

Tips & Warnings

  • Apply wood glue to the sides of the molding, where the miter cut was made, before nailing the 45-degree sides together.

  • If the angle of the molding is not cut correctly, the ends will not fit together evenly.
