How Do You Make a YouTube .Flv Video With Overlayed MP3 Files?

YouTube has made it possible for users to create and share videos with anyone around the world. Since its inception in 2005, YouTube has quickly become one of the most popular websites on the Internet. For users who would like to add a little style to their videos, a quick process will allow them to overlay an MP3 audio file over the top of the video they've created. This simple addition has the potential to make any video more entertaining and appealing to its viewers.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Windows Movie Maker on your computer's desktop. To do this, click the "Start" button located at the bottom left corner of your screen. Slide your mouse over the "All Programs" tab and scroll up the list of options that appear. Highlight "Windows Movie Maker" with your mouse and left click to open the program.

    • 2

Click "Videos" from the "Import" section of the guide on the left of the program. From there, a search window will open that will let you click through your computer's internal files and open the .Flv file you have saved on your computer into the Windows Movie Maker program. Once the video file gets imported to the program, left click and hold your mouse over the video file and drag and drop it onto the "Timeline" at the bottom of the program.

    • 3

Click the "+" sign that is directly next to the "Video" title on the "Timeline." This will split the video into a video and audio track. Right click your mouse over the audio track and click "Mute" from the menu that appears.

    • 4

Click the "Audio or Music" option from the "Import" section of the video guide to once again open a search window for your computer's internal folders. Search through your hard drive and open the MP3 file you want to overlay onto your video. Using the same process as you did in Step 2, drag and drop the MP3 files onto the "Audio/Music" section of the "Timeline" at the bottom of the program.

    • 5

Click the "This Computer" option from the "Publish to" section of the guide on the left of the program. Name the file from the window that will open, and then click "Next." Select "Publish" from the next screen and your video will begin to save to your computer. Once it is completed, you will be able to add your new video with overlayed MP3 file onto YouTube
