Homemade Halloween Costumes for Teen Girls
Tying in a homemade Halloween costume with the popularity of adolescent vampires in movies such as "Twilight" and on TV with the "Vampire Diaries" makes sense for a teenage girl. With just a little bit of expense, work, and a few visits to thrift stores for the right clothes, a homemade one-of-a-kind Halloween vampire costume can be cobbled together that will make a teen look as if she just stepped out of the TV screen.

1
Color your hair dark if it is not naturally black or dark brown. If going with a wig, try it on and carefully note the hairline on the forehead. Style the hairdo to go with a slick, sophisticated look. For a more "wild vampire" approach, style it with an out-of-control, frazzled look.

2
Clean your face thoroughly. Apply the base of the make-up to your face, being careful to cover into the hairline of the wig and down under the collar of your clothing. Gently pat the white powder onto your entire face, covering the base.
Repeat the techniques for the back of your hands, up into the sleeves of the clothing.

Apply the red lipstick and eyeliner/eyeshadow make-up. This is a time for a heavy hand. The lips and eyes should pop out of the now-white face.
-
4
Add the vampire teeth and optional wig. Dress in dark clothing and be the scariest teen vampire girl on the block.
