How to Wrap Electrical Cord
Everyone's experienced the unique frustration that accompanies having to untangle a cord or wire. Whether with Christmas lights, headphones, or electrical cords, there's nothing worse than being perpetually delayed and frustrated by a cord that just won't come undone. By making a little extra effort to wrap a cord up when you're not using it you can save yourself valuable time later when the time comes to unwrap the cord. A well wrapped cord also looks better and stores more neatly. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
-
-
1
Fold the electrical cord in half by putting the ends together.
-
2
Fold the cord in half again so there are four equal lengths of cord altogether.
-
-
3
Fold about a foot of the cord over, thus making a loop big enough to pull your hand through. Secure the loop by pressing down on it with your thumb.
-
4
Reach your hand through the loop and a grab on to the electrical cord on the other side.
-
5
Pull the electrical cord back through the first loop until you've made a second loop about the same size as the first. You should now have two loops.
-
6
Reach through the second loop and pull the cord back through, thus creating a third loop of about the same size.
-
7
Continue the process of reaching through the newly created loop and pulling a new loop back through until the entire cord has been looped. When you get to the end of the electrical cord, pull the last of it through, leaving a final loop made by the end folds in the already folded cord.
-
8
Hang the cord by this final loop to store it safe and securely.

Tips & Warnings
To unwrap the cord, pull the last loop back through the second to last loop and then just keep pulling. All the loops should pull right out once you do this. If the cord is especially long it helps to have a friend hold the far end while you pull the other end out into a straight cord.
