How to Change My Telephone Service with Verizon

How to Change My Telephone Service with Verizon thumbnail
Verizon provides several phone services to its customers.

Verizon is one of the largest telecommunication providers available and its customers are able to take advantage of the different services it offers. Once you've purchased a cell phone contract from Verizon, you can make changes to your contract in one of three ways. When you make changes by adding features to your phone service, make sure that doing so won't add unnecessarily to your monthly bill. For instance, VZ Navigator can add $9.95 per month to your bill. Unlimited texting, for families with teenagers, could be an added feature that pays for itself in keeping your monthly bills lower.

Sign up for My Verizon if you haven't done this already. Go to My Plan--under My Services tab. Select Add/Remove features, and select the new features you want on your phone--VZ Navigator, for instance.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also find out what service plan features you have on each phone under your current plan by signing into My Verizon, selecting My Plan, clicking on Add/Change features and clicking on the phone number you want to check. You'll be able to see all of the features for that phone number plus instruction on how to add or delete current features. You can also visit a Verizon store in your community and speak to a customer service representative to add features to your current service plan.
