How to Stop a Motion Camera
Motion cameras use detection zones to determine whether to activate and record movement. A detection zone is a mapped area on the camera's display. Motion that takes place within the mapped area triggers the camera and starts the recording and email or other alert. Motion that takes place outside the mapped area---the detection zone---is ignored. After a set time or when the motion ends, the recording halts. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
Use the control software to set any detection zone. For example, you may want to detect movement at a solid door but not through an adjacent window. That way the camera will only trigger when the door opens and not when people walk outside. Follow the instructions that came with your control software for specifics relating to detection zone setting.
