Instructions

    • 1

Create a mixture of 5 or 6 drops of liquid dish soap in 2 cups of water.

    • 2

Wet a clean, white cloth with the mixture.

    • 3

Lay the cloth on top of the area stained by Kool-Aid.

    • 4

Turn the iron on its lowest setting and place on top of the damp cloth. Leave the iron there for 15 minutes without pressing down.

    • 5

Remove the soiled cloth. You should see some of the Kool-Aid's coloring transferred to the cloth.

    • 6

Repeat the process with a new cloth soaked in the soap solution until the stain is gone.

    • 7

Rinse the carpet with clean water and let it dry thoroughly.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be patient. It may take quite a few passes for the stain to come up, but with time this method should eliminate the stain from your carpet.

  • Do not use cloths that are dripping wet, just damp. An overabundance of moisture left in your carpet could cause it to mildew.
