How to Install Programs to a Palm Z22

The Palm Z22 is shipped with several applications to help you organize and manage your contacts, calendar items and other data. Many software companies have created mobile applications that you can download and use with your Palm Z22. In order to use the applications with the Palm Z22, you need to download and install the software to your device through the Palm Desktop software.

• Palm Desktop Software Installation CD
• USB cable

1. Insert the Palm Desktop Software Installation CD in your computer and follow the onscreen instructions. Among the software installed on your computer is "Quick Install," which allows you to install applications on your Palm Z22.

2. Download the application you want to place on your Palm Z22. Most of the applications available for download have the "PRC" or "PDB" extension.

3. Locate the "Quick Install" icon and double click it. The "Quick Install" window will open on your computer. The "Quick Install" icon is a blue computer monitor with a yellow arrow.

4. Drag the downloaded application into the "Quick Install" window and choose the name of your Palm Z22 from the "User" drop-down menu.

5. Plug the large end of the USB cable into a USB jack on your computer and connect the opposite end to the data jack on the top of your Palm Z22.

6. Turn on the Palm Z22 by pressing the "Power" button and tap the "Sync" icon on the display. The "Sync" icon is a circle formed by two arrows. The application will install on your Palm device. "Synchronization Complete" will appear across the top of the screen when the process is finished.
