Add an image to personalize your email signature.

Add an image file---photo or logo---to your email signature to personalize it. Add an image file directly from your computer if your email program allow it. If not, link to a rights-free image on an external source. Use the exact hypertext markup language code to link to any image located on the web.

Instructions

  1. Adding an Image File to Microsoft Outlook

      Open Microsoft Outlook and click on "New" to create a new message.

      Enter the email signature you plan to use for your emails, then click on "Insert" and "Picture." Select "Browse" and double-click the image you want to load. Press "OK."

      Select the text and image in your email signature and copy it by clicking on "Edit" and "Copy." Then close the message window and select "Tools" and "Options" from the main screen.

      Select the "Mail Format" tab, then click on "Signatures" and "New." The "Create New Signature" dialog box will open. Enter a name for your signature, choose "Start with a blank signature" and click on "Next."

      Paste the signature you copied from your message into the text box by right-clicking and selecting "Paste" (shortcut: "Ctrl+V"). Click on "Finish." Press "OK" to close the "Create Signature" dialog box.

      Go to the "Signature" section in the "Options" dialog box. Select the name of your signature by clicking on the drop-down list for "Signatures for new messages" and "Signature for replies and forwards." Press "OK" when you are finished.

    Adding an Image File to Outlook Express

      Open Notepad, WordPad or a text editor of your choice. Type in your email signature.

      Add "<BR>" after each line of text to insert a new line. Then create a link to the image file by entering the full web address as follows:

      Replace the website address location and file name with the actual information for your image.

      Click on "File" and "Save" and save your work as a HTML file. Minimize the text editor and go to Outlook Express.

      Select "Tools" and "Options" from the main screen.

      Select the "Signatures" tab and choose your signature settings by checking "Add signatures to all outgoing messages" or "Don't add signatures to Replies and Forwards."

      Select "New" or highlight the default signature in the "Signatures" section.

      Click on "File" under "Edit Signature," then click on "Browse." Change "Files of type" to "HTML Files" and double-click the HTML file you created. Press "OK."

    Adding an Image File in Yahoo! Mail

      Log in to your Yahoo! mail account and select "Options" and "Mail Options" from the right-hand side.

      Click on the "Signature" link and choose "Show a signature on all outgoing messages." Change the message format from "Plain Text" to "Rich Text."

      Type in your email signature and the web address where your image is located, as follows:

      Replace the image's location and file name with its actual information. Then click on "Save Changes."
