You can change a print job's page orientation from landscape (the paper is wider than it is tall) to portrait (the paper is taller than it is wide - this is the default orientation). These instructions are for Microsoft Windows 98. Instructions for other operating systems or versions may vary.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
From the File menu in your application program, click on Page Setup. A window will appear.
Step2
If you want to print a document in landscape orientation, click to put a dot beside "landscape."
Step3
If you want to print a document in portrait orientation, click to put a dot beside "portrait."
Step4
Click OK.
Step5
Print your document in the usual way.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use landscape orientation to accommodate wide graphics or if you want to place graphics side by side.
  • Choose your orientation as you compose the page, so you can see how the page will look as you create it.
  • Not all printers will print in landscape orientation.
