Instructions

    • 1

Mix warm water with dish soap in a bucket, and wash the chrome door pillars with the mixture to remove dirt and dust buildup.

    • 2

Pour vinegar into a bowl, and dip a rag into the liquid. Rub off the tougher stains on your chrome. The acid in the vinegar works better than standard soap and water for tougher chrome stains.

    • 3

Crumple up a piece of tin foil, and dip it into Coke, Pepsi or any other cola. The folds in the tin foil and the carbonation of the soda help to remove rust. Rust takes a little more elbow grease to clean up, but eventually the rust does come off the chrome.

    • 4

Dry off the chrome with a towel. Leaving the chrome to air dry can actually result in rusting, especially if the chrome is not in the sun or it is cold outside.
