How Can I Publish My Front Page Website?

Microsoft FrontPage is an HTML editor that allows you to create websites. It gives you the option to add multiple pages to make your website more dynamic and user friendly. It also comes with interactive buttons to create Web graphics. You will need to buy a domain name from a third party company to publish any website created in FrontPage.

      Buy a domain name. There are several websites that offer year-long deals. GoDaddy, RegisterFly, PowerPipe and Sedo are some of the popular names in domain marketplace. Make a selection based on your budget and preference. You will need to register with one of these sites to purchase a domain name. Pick a domain name and purchase it if its available. Note down the URL of your domain name.

      Launch Microsoft FrontPage. Hit the Start button and select "All Programs." Scroll up to find the folder for Microsoft Office. Click on the folder to find the shortcut for FrontPage. Click on the shortcut.

      Open your Web project that you have previously saved and wish to publish. Double-check its contents and make sure everything is in the right order.

      Click on "File" and select "Publish Web..."

      Type the URL of your domain name that you purchased in Step 1 inside the box titled "Enter publish destination." Hit OK.

      Hit the "Options" button. You will find this at the bottom left corner of the "Publish Web" box.

      Select "Publish all pages..." if you are publishing your site for the first time. Select "Publish changed pages only" if you made certain edits on an existing website previously published on FrontPage. Hit the "Publish" button at the bottom of the dialog box.

      Give it a few minutes. Enter the URL (purchased in Step 1) in your Web browser to make sure your FrontPage Web project is up on the Web in its correct form.
