Clear your Mac's search history.

The drop-down box on your Macintosh computer is a saved search history that builds up as you open applications and files on your computer, as well as search for key terms in your Safari Internet browser. While this information is safe as long as you're the only user on your computer, it is recommended to periodically erase your search history in order to protect your privacy from cookies downloaded from the Internet. These cookies are sent to your computer from websites, and can track your browsing habits.
