How to Post a Website on Facebook

Log on to Facebook to connect with friends.

Facebook, the most popular social networking website as of 2010, is a place for people to get together online to share photographs, stories and experiences. Its exploding popularity has made it a go-to place for friends to share website links with other friends without the hassle of email, which can leave you wondering if the message was received.

Instructions

1. Go to the Facebook homepage. Log in to the website using the user name and password fields in the upper right hand corner of the page and click "Log in." This will take you to your News Feed.

2. Near the top of the "News Feed" page you will see a white box with the words "What's on your mind?" written inside it. Hover over this box with your mouse pointer and click on it. There will now be a blinking cursor in the box and four icons underneath it next to the word "Attach."

3. Click on the fourth icon from the left---it will say "Link" when you hover your mouse pointer over it. Now a box with "http://" will appear below it. In this box, type in the website address you wish to share. Click the button that says "Attach" to the right of this box.

4. Click the blue "Share" button to publish your website link. If you change your mind about sharing this link, you may instead click the "X" in the upper right of this web address box to cancel.

Tips & Warnings

• Be careful of clicking unknown links; they may be designed to do damage to your computer or surreptitiously install software to spy on you.
