Instructions

    • 1

Use the tape measure to measure the edges of the umbrella. Use these numbers as a directive for purchasing the correct length of sheer cloth that you'll want to use to create whichever look you prefer. There is no particular size standard that you must adhere to, since your tent will be to your own liking and preference; however, the numbers will be different based on your umbrella size.

Once you have purchased the sheer cloth, glue the edges onto the wedding umbrella. You will continue to glue all sides of the tent except one side, which will be your opening.

    • 3

Now you will attach the canopy onto the market umbrella frame. If you wish you can use extra pieces of your sheer cloth to cover the pole. To do this, measure the pole and add an extra 2 inches to the cloth. Sew together the ends and turn it inside out; now slide onto the pole.

Choose the place you want to set up your wedding tent and use the ground posts to keep in place. The land will need to be as level as possible.

    • 5

Now take your light strands and cover the umbrella stand pole. To add decoration for the wedding tent, you may pin flowers and vine around the umbrella tent. This will help to hide any flaws that occurred during the creation of your tent and help to provide a more romantic feeling.

Tips & Warnings

  • When choosing the sheer fabric, try to find the lightest material possible. This will prevent drooping of the tent.
