How to Make a Paper Person

Soon, this will be paper people.

Following these instructions, you can make a person out of paper as a craft for a child's party. Change the colors of the paper to go along with different holidays. This project is also a learning activity to help your child determine the difference between small, medium and large.

Things You'll Need

• 2 colors of construction paper
• Red marker
• 2 googly eyes
• Scissors
• Glue

Instructions

1. Cut a large circle out of one color of construction paper. This will be the body of the person.

2. Cut two small hearts out of the same color paper for the person's hands.

3. Cut two medium-size hearts out of the same paper for feet.

4. Cut four 1-inch strips out of the other color of paper. Fold these strips in an accordion shape, back and forth.

5. Glue two of these strips on either side of the circle in the arm places. Glue the other two in the leg places. Glue the two small hearts on the arm strips for hands. Glue the two medium hearts on the leg strips for feet.

6. Glue the two eyes on the face, and use a marker to decorate the face with a smile and a nose.

Tips & Warnings

• If you do not have googly eyes, your child can use a marker to draw eyes as well.
