How to Enable the Pop-Up Blocker in Firefox

How to Enable the Pop-Up Blocker in Firefox thumbnail
Firefox has a built-in pop-up blocker.

Pop-up advertisements can appear in the Firefox browser when you are surfing the web. These pop-ups can be annoying, and some of them may even cause spyware and other malware to be installed on your computer. You can download pop-up blockers and extensions to prevent pop-ups from appearing in Firefox. These are not necessary, however, as Firefox comes with a built-in pop-up blocker.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open your Firefox browser.

    • 2

Click the "Tools" option at the top of the browser to open a drop-down menu.

    • 3

Choose "Options" and a window will open in Firefox.

    • 4

Click the "Content" tab at the top of the open window.

    • 5

Click the box next to the "Block pop-up windows" selection inside the window. The blocker will be turned on.

    • 6

Click "OK" at the bottom of the window to enable the Firefox pop-up blocker.
