How to Get Sweat Stains Out of White Clothes
Sweat stains look embarrassing and can become a challenge to remove. You can remove the perspiration stains from your white clothes before they permanently set in. Once you notice perspiration stains, you need to treat them immediately. Older perspiration stains will require vigorous cleaning efforts. You can remove the stains with common household ingredients. Things You'll Need
- 1 cup hydrogen peroxide
- 1 tsp. ammonia
- Small bowls
- Paper towels
- Heavy object
- Baking soda

Use Hydrogen Peroxide and Ammonia

Add one cup of hydrogen peroxide and one tsp. of ammonia into a small bowl.

Pour the solution onto the perspiration stain carefully.

Sit paper towels over the stain.

Add a heavy object like a hardcover book onto the paper towels. This will help to absorb the stain and the cleaning solution.

Allow the solution to set for three to five hours. Rinse the perspiration stain with cold water, and launder according to the care directions. Inspect the clothing to see if the stain disappeared before drying it, because the heat will make the stain permanent. If the stain remains, repeat the process or try using a different cleaning solution.
Make a Paste with Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide

Add a 1-to-1 ratio of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to a bowl.

Stir the ingredients to make a paste.
