How to Design Cute Name Plaques

- Wooden letters
- Miniature wooden shapes
- Paint markers
- Extra strength glue stick
- Unfinished framed sign
- Patterned scrapbook paper
- Paper cutter

Choose the wooden letters for the name. Paint the front of the letters using a paint marker in any color you like.

Use the paint markers to paint the front of the wooden shapes. Use cute shapes like ladybugs, bumblebees or funny cars. Add as many details as you like to the shapes, but allow drying time between each layer of paint.

Paint the frame around the sign using a matching color. Make sure to paint the inside and outside of the frame to cover the unfinished wood.

Cut a piece of patterned scrapbook paper in the same size as the inside of the sign. Place glue on the back of the patterned paper and then attach it inside the frame.

Place a line of glue on the back of each letter and position them inside the frame in proper order, leaving at least 1/4-inch of space between each letter.

Place glue on the back of each wooden shape and arrange them in a pattern around the edge of the frame.

Allow the glue to dry overnight before hanging the name plaque.
