How to Troubleshoot Embarq Wireless Internet

Embarq wireless Internet is an Internet service provider that is currently known as CenturyLink. Troubleshooting your Embarq/CenturyTech Internet connection can become necessary where you are receiving slow service (or no service at all). This can be done by utilizing some simple tweaks from within your operating system and wireless Internet hardware.

Instructions

1. Unplug your wireless router and Embarq modem from the wall.

2. Wait sixty seconds.

3. Plug both device back in and wait another minute.

4. Open "Start," select "Run," type "cmd" and press "Enter."

5. Type in "ipconfig /release" and press "Enter."

6. Type in "ipconfig /renew" and press "Enter." This will reset your Internet connection, resolving issues.
