How to Reduce Packet Loss With a Cable Internet Connection

Download an Internet speed optimizer program--three options are shown in the Resources.

Save the program to your desktop.

Double-click on the downloaded file to open the program.

Click on the "General Settings" tab.

Select your Internet speed using the onscreen menu or slider.

Choose the "Optimal Settings" button to configure your cable Internet, which will reduce packet loss.
