How to Get in Touch With Christian Singles in the Local Military
Military service members typically move once every three years, although they are sometimes relocated more frequently. This is especially true for newer military members who may be sent to several different bases over the course of a few months for job-related training. As a result of frequent moving, Christian single military members tend to be active in their local communities, especially with church-related activities as a way to make friends and become acquainted with their new homes. Because single service members are so engaged in the community around them, getting in touch with Christian military singles can be a rewarding experience.

1
Contact the base chapel. Many military Christians attend weekly religious services at the base chapel, which provides both Catholic and Protestant services. Ask the chaplain if the chapel offers any singles groups or Bible studies. For example, the base chapel at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington state has a special ministry dedicated to getting single airmen to spend time together, doing activities. You can also check the chapel's bulletin boards for information on singles breakfasts, outings, potlucks or gatherings.

2
Attend a singles Bible study. Not all Christian singles attend the base chapel, so visit a civilian church's Bible study. You may be able to meet Christian military members who want to become more involved in the community, make new friends and date. Singles Bible studies are sometimes at churches, but are most frequently organized by an individual at his home. This allows members to share stories, food and fun in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

Visit a singles Sunday School class. Sunday School classes are usually offered on Sunday mornings either before or after the main worship service. Most churches have a designated singles class that discusses topics pertinent to the adult Christian single. Likewise, some churches offer Sunday School classes that cater to military service members. Madeira Baptist Church in Middleburg, Florida, is an example of a congregation that provides Sunday School classes for single church members. For more information, call your local church and ask the secretary about Sunday School classes offered.

Start a group. If you are unable to find Christian singles who are serving in the military, start a group. Meet once a week to spend time watching movies, going ice skating or playing board games. You can advertise your group online, through flyers or on military base bulletin boards.
