How to Change the Search Engine in Safari Windows

Safari, a free web browser from Apple, is available on Mac, iPhone, iPod Touch and PC. The PC version of Safari, sometimes referred to as Safari for Windows, allows the user to search the Web directly from its interface using Google or Yahoo!. Switching between the Google and Yahoo! search engines can be done at any time within Safari.

      Open Safari and click on the magnifying glass icon located on the left-hand side of the search box. The search box is located in the upper right corner of Safari. You should see the name of the current default search engine to the right of the magnifying glass.

      Select Google or Yahoo! as your default search engine. These will be the last two options in the drop-down list.

      Type your desired search term into the search box and hit enter. Safari will display results from the search engine you previously selected.
