How to Troubleshoot the Problems of Reinstalling a Dell Printer
Dell is one of the most popular makers of printers for home use and for businesses. For the most part, these printers provide excellent service, but it is still important for printer owners to know what to do when something goes wrong. For instance, there are times when a Dell printer driver will not uninstall completely, and that can cause problems when trying to reinstall the software for the printer.

Log on to your computer and click on the "Start" button. Choose "Control Panel" from the menu.

Double-click on the "Add or Remove Programs" icon and look for a Dell printer entry. Highlight that entry and click on the "Remove" button. The Dell printer software will not reinstall properly until any existing drivers have been removed.

Check the taskbar for any printer icons. The taskbar is located in the lower-right corner of the screen, next to the system clock. Hover your mouse pointer over each icon in the tray for a description. Locate the Dell printer icon, right-click it, and choose "Close."

Log on to the Dell website and go to the support section. Download the latest driver for your Dell printer, and run the installation program.
