Stop magazine subscriptions with firm and forceful steps, including contacting the magazine publisher to have your name removed from the subscription list. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Watch your mail for invoices and do not ignore them. Read the invoices and look for information that will enable you to contact the magazine publisher. If you find a contact telephone number, call it and explain that you did not order the magazine and you do not wish to receive it. If you cannot find a telephone number, write "Do not wish to receive---cancel subscription" on the invoice and mail it back to the publisher. Be prepared to send back more than one invoice with this message, if necessary.

Look through the first several pages of the magazine to find contact information for the publisher. Locate a customer service telephone number and call this number to speak directly with a service representative for the magazine publisher. Explain to the representative that you did not order the magazine and you do not wish to receive it.

Find a mailing address for the circulation department of the magazine publisher within the opening pages of the magazine. Send a simple letter telling them you did not order the magazine and you do not wish to receive it. Send the letter promptly to stop the magazines from arriving.

Pass the unwanted magazines on to someone who will read them if they continue to arrive in your mailbox. In the event you cannot find anyone to accept the magazines, recycle them.
