How to Register for a Disney Birthday
Disneyland and Walt Disney World gave free one-day theme park admission to anyone who registered and visited on their birthday in 2009. Annual passholders were able to choose from other perks such as gift cards. That program ended on December 31, 2009, but Disney still recognizes its guests' birthday celebrations in more modest ways. Tell the Disney reservation agency to make a note of your birthday on your reservation if you are staying at an on-site Disneyland or Disney World hotel. Your travel agent can take care of this if you are using one to book your trip.

Mention your birthday celebration to the check-in agent when you arrive at your Disney hotel. The staff should have noticed it on your reservation but it's best to make sure by calling attention to it during check-in.

Stop at Guest Services when you arrive at a Disney theme park and ask for a celebratory button. You don't have to register in advance to receive one, and there is no cost. Simply ask for it. You may be given a choice of different styles.

Wear your birthday button for your whole Disney vacation. You are not limited to celebrating only on the actual day.

Walt Disney World Florist offers a variety of birthday celebration packages that you can order in advance if you'd like to surprise someone in your party. Options include decorations, edible items, toys and souvenirs. The birthday goodies will be waiting in your hotel room when you arrive.
There are no guaranteed birthday benefits at Disneyland or Disney World. You will get a lot of "happy birthday" wishes, and you may get little extras like a special dessert at a restaurant, singing or a small decoration in your hotel room, but this does not always happen. Keep your expectations low-key.
