How Can I Network a Mac & a PC in the Same House? thumbnail
A Windows-based computer can be networked with a Mac.

A computer network is two or more computers connected together either with an Ethernet or Firewire cord or with a wireless router. Modern Mac and Windows computers can be networked together seamlessly. With a Mac and Windows computer network, you can share files and printers between both computers, but you cannot share applications. It is easy to network a Windows-based computer and Mac together in the same location with a wireless router.
