How to Transfer a Copy of an EIDE Hard Drive to a New SATA Drive thumbnail
EIDE hard drives are like upgraded versions of the IDE hard drive.

EIDE hard drives function the same as SATA drives on a computer. Transferring a copy of an EIDE, which stands for Enhanced Integrated Drive Electronics, hard drive to a SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) is the same as transferring a copy of an EIDE hard drive to an another EIDE hard drive. SATA hard drives have a faster data transfer rate than EIDE hard drives and use different cables to connect to the computer mainboard.
