Do you need to find the location of a phone number? This piece of information is officially called the rate center. If you are looking to find a phone number location as in where the number is officially registered that's the rate center.

        You can do this for free: Simply use the resource link below or visit www.searchbug.com, then click on the "Research Tools" tab. Then click on the tab that says "Identify Phone Number".

        You can get the address for free if the number is published using the link below, or if it's an unpublished number you might need to pay something, but I'll show you how to get it cheap.

        First, visit www.searchbug.com, then click on the tab that says "People Finder". Once there you will see a screen that looks like the image show here.

        Now click on the tab that says "by phone".

        Next enter the phone number in this form. See the "About this Tool" tips to the right (see image for example). As you can see, if the listing is published the information is free.

        You can also click on their "Example" link to see what you get with premium results.

        If the information is unpublished or not available for free (via the searchbug data network) you will be shown partial results and offered to purchase premium results.

        At the time of this writing all premium results found (partial info shown for free) is only $1.47 (very reasonable and a time saver).
