Experian is one of the three major credit bureaus in the US that keeps data on consumers. Experian keeps a record of all of your credit card transactions, which is updated regularly by your creditors. This record is your credit report, and it is used to determine your credit score. The time may come when you need to talk to Experian about this report for one reason or another. If so, you need to know how to talk to them.

      Call 1-888-397-3742 if you need to talk to them about ordering a copy of your report. You are entitled to one free copy of your Experian credit report annually. You could also order this report online through their website at experian.com. You may also be entitled to a copy if you are denied for credit.

      Call the toll free number listed on your credit report if you need to talk to them about a dispute. This number is listed at the top of your credit report when you have obtained a copy. By calling this number, you can talk to an Experian representative about how to dispute something on the report, or the dispute process. You can also find out the status of current disputes. Alternatively, you may also make a request to dispute information online through Experian's website.

      Call 1-888-397-3742 if you would like to talk to Experian about adding a fraud alert statement to your account. Representatives can assist you in placing a fraud alert if you have reason to believe someone may have unauthorized access to your information, or if you believe you may become the victim of identity theft. When you call this number, a representative can place a fraud alert on your account. This will remain on your account for 90 days from the time of your phone call and while it is in effect, creditors will have to contact you and verify your information when and if anyone applies for credit in your name.

      Call 1-800-787-6864 if you are a credit manager member. Credit manager is a paid-program that Experian offers to customers to help them manage their credit report proactively. If you want to talk to Experian about some aspect of your participation in the Credit Manager program, or if you have questions about your credit report and you are a Credit Manager member, representatives at this number can help.
