Pulling Off a Themed Wedding
-
1
Overload the room with ample lush, bright and colorful flowers and lots of greens. Suggestions for popular flowers could include anthuriums, orchids, hibiscus and birds of paradise, all of which are bright and vibrant. Add lush green plants, like dieffenbachia plants, on tables and even on the floors. Add bouquets of vibrant flowers as well as flowering plants to the mix. In order to achieve the rain-forest feel, you will need to have more flowers than the traditional wedding.

2
Add safari-inspired accents. This could mean leopard-, zebra- and tiger-print napkins, napkin holders, candles and vases, or even table cloths and curtains in the same print.

3
Choose favors and place cards in accordance to the theme. Clip a person's name and table number to a large and brightly colored silk flower, a tiger Lilly or an orchid would work well. Scatter chocolates in the shapes of animals on the tables and at each seat. Suggested animals would include animals consistent with a safari, such as lions, zebras, elephants and giraffes.
-
4
Hang blue crystals or iridescent blue and silver scarves and fabric from the ceiling to give the impression of a bright blue sky and falling rain. Draping some mosquito netting from the ceiling or over tables and the backs of chairs would add to the safari-feel of the room as well.

5
Add wide bowls of water with brightly colored floating candles to the tables. If desired, place the candles in flower-shaped candle holders.
