Proper posting keeps hunters off your land in New Hampshire.

Protecting your New Hampshire property from hunters is as simple as labeling your property. If you want to keep hunters off your land, post signs around the circumference of your land. You can make the signs yourself if you wish as long as they clearly say that hunting is not allowed. Signs prohibiting hunting are also available from mass-market retail stores and the New Hampshire Fish and Game organization.

Identify the sign you want to use to convey your hunting limitations on your land. The sign must clearly state "NO HUNTING" in letters at least two inches high. Operation Land Share, run by the New Hampshire Fish and Game, offers signs for landowners (see Resources).

Write your name and address at the base of each sign. You should legibly present your contact information on the sign.

Post your signs along all edges of the property with no more than 100 feet in between each sign. Place signs on each main entrance or gate.
