Homemade Wedding Guest-Book Pages
Make your own homemade wedding guest book for your guests to sign. This will likely become one of your treasured wedding keepsakes as you look back to see the personal mark each guest left for you and your betrothed. By making your own wedding guest book pages, you can allow guests to add more than just their signature, which will personalize their involvement and make the guest book even more memorable for you.
Things You'll Need
- Thick paper (or card stock)
- Ruler
- Markers or pens
- Scissors
- Hole punches or confetti
- Glue
Instructions

Before the Wedding
-
1
Purchase various colors of thick paper that coordinate with your wedding. For example, if your wedding colors are robin's egg blue and chocolate brown; alternate each page using those two colors. Assemble the guest book now, or simply create the pages and assemble the book after the wedding.
-
2
Use a ruler and black marker or pen to draw lines in the top right quadrant and bottom left quadrant on one side of each page. Draw lines in the top left quadrant and bottom right quadrant of the opposite side of the page. The lines will serve as a guide for your guests to write a message, memory or piece of advice for you and your fiance.

3
Create a border around the blank space where pictures of your guests will go. The border should be in the opposite color as the page you're working on. Using the same color scheme as the previous example, create a blue border for the brown pages and brown borders for the blue pages. The borders can be simple rectangles, scrolling designs, hearts or any other shape that will work with the pictures. Use craft scissors to create squiggly or different kinds of borders.
After the Wedding
-
4
Glue pictures of your wedding guests to their corresponding message or advice in your book. The pictures can be instant pictures taken at the wedding---which might be easier if you have a large number of guests---or digital prints.
-
5
Decorate each page by gluing small hole punches or confetti that complements your wedding colors and theme. For example, a red-and-black formal wedding might have small red roses or black bow tie confetti or a Christmas wedding could include little white snowmen, snowflakes or gold stars.
-
6
Insert the pages into a pre-made cover if you didn't already. Or have the guest book professionally bound into a coffee table book.

Tips & Warnings
Set out the pages and a cup of markers or pens for your guests on each table to make it easier for them to contribute to the book. Leave a card with instructions.
Make the pages in halves instead of fourths (quadrant) if you're having a small wedding or want guests to leave longer messages.
Create open-ended lead-ins such as "I met Sarah or Joe ... ," "My favorite memory of Sarah or Joe is ..." and "My advice for Sarah and Joe is ..."
