How to Arrange Tissue in Gift Bags

Arrange tissue paper in gift bags.

After you choose the perfect gift for a gift-giving occasion, don't let the gift wrap be anything less than beautiful. Using a gift bag is a simple and effective way to wrap a gift and make it look attractive. Place the finishing touch on your gift bag with tissue paper. Use matching tissue paper and arrange tissue in gift bags to fill the top of the bag, conceal the gift inside and add a lovely spray of color at the top of the package.

Things You'll Need

• Gift bag
• Matching sheets of tissue paper

Instructions

1. Place the wrapped or unwrapped gift into the gift bag. Wrapping the gift in addition to placing it in the gift bag is optional. If you wish, use an extra sheet of tissue paper and loosely wrap the gift with the tissue paper before you place it into the bag.

2. Grasp the tissue paper sheet in the center and pinch it with one hand.

3. Flick your hand quickly to poof the ends of the tissue paper. Hold the tissue paper so it is upside down and place your other hand around the tissue paper immediately under the hand grasping the tissue paper.

4. Pull your second hand down quickly over the tissue paper to gather it together while you continue to hold the tissue paper with your first hand.

5. Turn the tissue paper right side up and place it into the gift bag on top of the gift. Simply set the tissue paper into the bag where you are grasping it and let it go. The edges of the tissue paper will protrude attractively out the top of the bag.

6. Add a second or third piece of tissue paper by repeating steps 2 through 5 if you wish to add more color to your gift bag and fill the opening of the gift bag with more tissue paper.
